Hygienically clean certified by trsa

Mayflower Baltimore and Mayflower Belcamp are proud to hold Hygienically Clean Certification by the TRSA board. The Hygienically Clean program sets the standard for clean textiles in North America.

Cleanliness standards are verified by on-site inspections from a 3rd party and off site microbial testing. The independent, third-party inspection must show that employees are properly trained and protected, managers understand regulatory requirements, the laundry is OSHA-compliant, and the laundry operates effectively. Certification shows dedication to cleanliness and consistently taking steps to keep patients, physicians, and employees safe.

Mayflower’s certification from Hygienically Clean is important in today’s era of growing global concerns about infection control, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HLAC accredited laundries

Mayflower Baltimore and Mayflower Belcamp are both HLAC accredited laundries by the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council. HLAC is a non-profit organization that inspects and accredits laundries processing healthcare textiles for hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. HLAC’s mission is to publish high standards for processing healthcare textiles in laundries, and to provide an accreditation process that recognizes those laundries that meet these high standards.

HLAC requirements help ensure the protection of the laundry team at Mayflower and the patients that our hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics service.

ADVACARE Disinfectant Chemistry

Mayflower New Castle and Mayflower Belcamp proudly wash with EcoLab’s AdvaCare, an EPA registered disinfectant agent that meets or exceeds the criteria for kill claims against emerging viral pathogens, including kill claims against Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) for non-porous surfaces.

Ecolab, Inc. has received Federal EPA approval for an Emerging Viral Pathogen claim on AdvaCare Disinfectant and has been listed on EPA’s List N. EPA’s List N is a list of products that are deemed to be effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Ecolab, Inc. is the first to market EPA-registered laundry disinfectant and oxidizer with this approval.

Additionally, AdvaCare routinely outperforms chlorine and peroxide for disinfecting, whiteness, extending linen life, sustainability and overall effectiveness.
